This time, starting from Düsseldorf, the team of art historians headed by project leader Prof. Dr. Andrea von Hülsen-Esch travel via Bonn into the Eifel region, to Monschau. Their first stop is the Rheinische Archiv in the former capital. When they get there, the researchers dive into the collective remains of the artists’ association “Das Junge Rheinland” – catalogues, brochures, notices and photographs. One recurring motif on several of the photos is the little town of Monschau in the Eiffel region: one more reason to visit this special place.
