How can we think about the human experience outside the traditional humanities?
By globalising it. By removing traditional Western biases and placing the planet at the centre of study the proposed Academy of Planetary Humanities aims to become an international ecumene of intellectuals.
The academy's two-part founding workshop is hosted by Bo Strath, John Noyes, and Dominic Sachsenmaier. Chaired by Selcuk Esenbel renowned scholars like Dipesh Chakrabarty, Rochona Majumdar, Walter Mignolo, Henning Trüper, and Achille Mbembe outline the humanities understood as a planetary endeavour in a series of bite sized lectures.
