The prehistoric painters used a wide variety of colors, tools and techniques to immortalize their art, leaving behind a colorful world of images in the desert of northern Sonora. In a cave, the archaeologists find dark areas in which rock images are engraved, so-called petroglyphs. Beatriz Menéndez Iglesias photographs the cave from dozens of perspectives. A computer program compiles the photos into a 3D model that can later be viewed virtually by researchers from all over the world.
