To reconstruct the life and survival of the Jewish population, the former hiding place in the Jewish cemetery is to be excavated. For this purpose, a layer of sand several centimeters thick, which has gathered in the bunker since the end of the war in 1945, will be removed. The excavation is of special significance and the researcher had to obtain a special excavation permit - because the cemetery is an important memorial cultural site. Dr. Natalia Romik now hopes to find archaeological findings of the people who hid here and to learn more about life in hiding.
