In her research project, Prof. Dr. Robyn Dora Radway is devoting herself to the costume albums created by Habsburg diplomats in Constantinople. Here, the scientist faces the challenge of deciphering the numerous manuscripts, some of which have not been closely examined for centuries. She also devotes herself to a network analysis, which is intended to visualize how the individual persons were connected with each other. In the general interview, the historian also explains how the idea for the research project came about, how she discovered the first costume painting album and which of the discoveries was particularly astonishing.
