In this lecture, the first steps of a project for the conservation of a stained glass window will be presented. Following the methodology of a site survey, the need for pre-restoration analysis and documentation of a given glass panel will be explained in detail, leading finally to the development of a concept of measures as a means for the deliberations by the client, the architect and the relevant authorities.
