The Gerda Henkel Foundation, through its funding initiative Patrimonies, and the Amsterdam-based Prince Claus Fund, through its Cultural Emergency Response (CER) programme, announce a joint call for proposals. Under the title “Emergency Preparedness for Cultural Heritage under Threat,” the call is addressed to cultural practitioners, institutions and local NGOs in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The deadline for applications is 21 June 2019 at 17:00 CET.
With their respective programmes, both foundations look back on a long-standing history of protecting and preserving cultural heritage in crisis regions. The goal of this joint call is to step up the foundations’ efforts in the field, raise awareness on its importance and illustrate the preservation potential of preventive concepts. Candidates who match all relevant criteria are invited to submit their ideas and plans for the protection of tangible cultural heritage under threat.
