How Video (Art) Became Expensive

The conference broached the issue of the interaction of art production, art market and exhibition concerning the media art on an international level. The historical development and specific tasks of Video Art Distribution, the current fields of activity as well as the current challenges of internet-based market approaches have been discussed. In his talk Professor Daniels (Art History and Media Theory) asks "How Video (Art) became expensive". Doing so, he introduces the Transdisciplinary Video Theory Reader to the audience and discusses three fields of study: Cinema, Television and Video Art.
